Mindy Lee

In conversation with art writer and curator Anna McNay, Mindy Lee (MA painting, Royal College of Art, 2002-04) will discuss some of the recurrent themes of her work, including autobiography; the domestic routines and rituals of motherhood; responsive parenting informing responsive painting; cloth as a precious keepsake and second skin, holding memories of our past selves; the viscerality of the body; shifting identities, transient moments and tipping points, as we come together and pull apart through love and loss; cycles of repetitive behaviour, moving from daily interactions to cross-generational roles; and death, bereavement and recollection.

This online talk is supported by the Blyth Music and Art Centre at Imperial College, London.
