Paint strokes of the colours red, yellow and green with the text 'Black History Month' in black overlayed

This year’s Black History Month theme “Proud to be” is personal and unique to individuals, families and communities, focusing on how we’re all making history all the time in our own ways, as well as the contributions and achievements of Black people throughout history.

The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Centre will showcase how IMPACT, the development programme for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic staff, supports the Imperial community by highlighting the experiences that delegates have had and their achievements following the programme. We hope that this discussion inspires staff from various cultures and communities who wish to learn how they can further their personal and professional development at Imperial.

The panel members are:

  • Grace Adeyemi, Recruitment Adviser, Human Resources Division
  • Christopher Bamikole, Laboratory Manager and Section Safety Coordinator, Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction
  • Demi Corr, Postgraduate Education Administrator, Department of Surgery & Cancer
  • Aleisha Miller, Study Manager, Department of Brain Sciences
  • Loanzi Tchikaya, Project Support Coordinator, Enterprise

The discussion will be chaired by Gabriella Kerr-Gordon, EDI Centre advisor and lead on the IMPACT programme. The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions during the event.

The IMPACT programme recently celebrated its seventh cohort. Read more about it.
