Environmental & Sustainability theme in FoNS – a series of ‘speed sessions’ events dedicated to Advanced Research Fellows and Lecturers to showcase their research to Imperial’s academic community

Our environment is changing at unprecedented speeds and scales and we are rapidly losing the biodiversity, ecosystems, and natural resources that we depend upon. The Environment and Sustainability Theme spans multiple disciplines that address the critical challenges we face in this space, with research and policy focused on understanding, monitoring, predicting and managing the environment and its sustainability.

The FoNS theme champions Professor Guy Woordward and Dr Morena Mills have organised a new series of speed showcasing/networking events sessions for advanced research fellows and lecturers in FoNS within the ‘Environmental & Sustainability’ cross-departmental theme.  Please see below the confirmed programme:

11:45 – 11:55 Alexandra Collins (Centre for Environmental Policy) – Transdisciplinary research on urban land-use management for multiple environmental and social benefits

11:55 – 12:05 Agi Brandt-Talbot (Department of Chemistry) – Understanding the chemistry of wood biopolymers to advance the production of renewable chemicals and materials
