I am the Academic Lead for Digital Education in the Faculty of Medicine. Responsibilities
I work closely with the Head of Digital Education Office, the Academic Lead for Digital Education and the Head of Business Development. Together, we collaborate towards realising the aims of the Faculty's Digital Education Strategy. I am responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and for leading a team of Digital Project Managers to support the DEO's implementation of new online programmes, digital support for on-campus initiatives and innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

I lead on the design, development, and delivery of digital learning projects for the Faculty of Medicine. I work closely with academic colleagues to create excellent, pedagogically sound learning experiences to enhance student learning. I work closely with academic colleagues to design and develop high quality, pedagogically-sound learning experiences. In my AI Futurist role I explore the impact of generative AI on higher education and foster cross-faculty AI initiatives. I also chair a Faculty-wide AI discussion group. I work closely with academics and administrators to design, develop and implement interactive online content for their programmes (mostly postgraduate) and help search for innovative solutions for teaching, learning and assessment. I also support and advise on the use of the available e-learning tools and platforms.

Responsibilities
My role involves the innovative integration of technology into teaching and learning environments to enhance educational experiences. I collaborate closely with academics to design, implement, and assess technology-enhanced learning solutions that meet pedagogical goals and improve student engagement and outcomes. My responsibilities include researching and adopting new educational technologies, providing training and support to faculty and students, and ensuring the accessibility and usability of digital learning resources.

Responsibilities
I provide a full range of video production and photographic services for the entire Faculty of Medicine. These include producing videos and photographs for teaching and learning, promotion, recruitment, events, conferences, administrative, visual information and public-relations usage. Based in the studio at St Mary's, I provide the full range of services at all campuses and on location, wherever it is required.

 

Open Content and Online Degrees Workstream

I am Learning Design Lead for open content and online degrees within the DEO. I line manage a team of Learning Designers and Learning Technologists and work alongside project managers to design and develop our online learning to deliver the highest standard product.

My role is to develop and implement interactive digital learning materials as part of the Faculty's growing digital learning portfolio, including consultation, support and co-ordinating the delivery of projects and activities.
I currently support the development of open content online courses including video/audio capture and editing, developing content, maintenance and administration of our online platform.

In my role, I oversee system-level administration, testing, and maintenance for our supported tools, providing technical advice, support, and training. Additionally, I collaborate on projects ensuring consistency in staff guidance and contribute to digital exam and assessment production, all while prioritising end-user experience and frequently tackling new system deployments.

Responsibilities
I lead the development of learning analytics to improve educational programmes and student experiences. I analyse and organise data from various systems, create integrated data models, develop analytics and visualisations, and collaborate with researchers on predictive models. My responsibilities include data validation, scripting, managing access, creating workflows, developing dashboards, defining metrics, exploring AI and ML, predictive modelling, ensuring ethical data practices, and providing training.
