MentoringAs part of our commitment to the future of addiction research, we will be developing a clinical mentorship scheme complementary to the schemes run by the Academy of Medical Sciences. Mentoring will be available to all MARC fellows, as well as researchers developing clinical academic careers in addiction elsewhere.

Based on the mentees needs, mentors will be selected from within MARC and through the Academic and Addiction faculties of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Promising clinical trainees will meet with one of the three leads to discuss their research interests and potential. If accepted, they will be allocated a lead mentor and given support to attend MARC events and courses. They will be offered time in our labs, or elsewhere, based on their location.

The mentorship scheme can also support researchers from outside the three MARC institutions to apply for appropriate fellowship schemes.
