The Institute's Security Research programme includes security in cyberspace, CBRNE threat reduction, critical infrastructure protection and bio and environmental security.
We work in Partnership with many of the College’s Departments to promote security related science and technology, improving impact for interdisciplinary research and providing a trusted stakeholder interface.
Through a programme of External Influence we engage with stakeholders across Government, business and academia to provide advice and promote the role of science & engineering in national security.

The Institute for Security Science and Technology is seeking to recruit a Research Associate to investigate the role of social media (principally Twitter) for rapid analysis of environmental strain.
