Summary

Overview

My primary research areas are aerial robotics, control of nonlinear systems, and flight dynamics and control.

In addition to these, I have worked in the past on spacecraft attitude control, and on control of a class of systems that are modelled after processes in a typical human cell. These, and related, problems continue to remain an area of interest.

Ongoing Research

show research

I am currently working on the following research problems:

  • Flight dynamics and control of fixed and flapping-wing aircraft. The focus of this work is on understanding manoeuvre design and the stability issues that arise therein.
  • Autonomous decision-making and motion planning for single and multi-agent robotic systems.
  • Adaptive control of nonlinear infinite dimensional systems. The current focus of this work is on the development of an adaptive control framework for semilinear systems described by partial differential equations (PDEs).

Publications

This list of selected journal papers spans most of my research interests. Although I have a strong preference for analytical work starting from the "first principles", I routinely turn to experiments for validation of my analytical solutions.
