Summary
Faraz Kaiser Malik is a Commonwealth PhD scholar in the Optical and Semiconductor Devices Group at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Imperial College London. His research focuses on the fabrication and functionalization of flexible microelectrode sensors for electrochemical detection of biomarkers in microfluidic samples collected non-invasively.
Prior to joining Imperial College London, he was an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad, Pakistan. In addition to leading several laboratory modules for core engineering courses, he undertook research focusing on the use of phase change materials for energy storage and waste heat recovery.
He received his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2020, and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2018.
