Summary
Luigi is a research associate at the Imperial College Business School and an honorary researcher at the John Grill Institute for Project Leadership, University of Sydney.
Previously, he was a postdoctoral research associate at Imperial College London, “Center for Systems Engineering and Innovation". In this position, he has been involved in the Transforming Construction Network Plus project, which was a joint project between the Imperial College London, University College London (UCL), and Warwick Manufacturing Group. Through this project, he collected and analysed primary qualitative data and engaged with senior practitioners in organizations and projects to explore how novel digital technologies (e.g., AI, big data) enable business model innovation in mature industries such as the construction industry.
Prior to joining Imperial Luigi completed his PhD in Management (Doctor Europaeus) at the University of Padova (Italy) and was a research fellow at Bayes Business School (formerly known as Cass), City University of London.
His research interests lie at the intersection of organisation theory (e.g., future making, practice theory, configurational theory), entrepreneurship, and strategic management. In particular, his research focuses on different forms of online and offline organizing, novel organizational design forms as well as sustainable business model innovation.
