Environmental Research Group
Impacting Community Health and Policy through partnerships
Director's Message
On behalf of the Environmental Research Group (ERG) I would like to thank everyone who has partnered with us over the past thirty years to improve the environment and health of our communities.
In 2023, more than 650 partners, colleagues and friends joined us to celebrate our joint efforts through our 30th Anniversary programme 'Environment and Health Challenges in a Changing World', sponsored by Imperial Policy Forum, which consisted of six seminars and a two-day symposium. These events provided us with opportunities to reflect on the incredible impact we have achieved together to date.
Below we share links to details of the programme including presentations and briefing papers.
There is much work still to be done and it is only through pooling our wealth of knowledge, expertise and innovative insights that we will continue to rise to the challenges, achieve greater impact and help to create a better future for the generations to come. As I am sure many of you will agree, 2024 is already proving to be a year that will offer us exciting opportunities to make a difference in new and unique ways for our local and global communities.
How will you partner with the Environmental Research Group (ERG) in 2024 to support our commitment to impact community health and policy?

Symposium
6th & 7th June 2023
Professor Frank Kelly and Mayor Sadiq Khan talk about the impact of indoor and outdoor air pollution on health at the 30th Anniversary Symposium of the Environmental Research Group.
The Symposium brought together 150 key stakeholders from across Imperial, local and national government, ERG partners and international colleagues, and featured a selection of presentations and panel sessions over the course of the two days.
The Symposium highlighted a shared vision and determination to achieve a cleaner environment for our towns and cities and better health for everyone.
We were delighted and privileged to welcome Mayor Sadiq Khan who delivered a keynote presentation and our very own President, Professor Hugh Brady, who shared his insightful remarks on Day One.
Day two closed with a thought-provoking panel discussion chaired by Deputy Mayor Shirley Rodrigues.
