Parking your motorcycle at South Kensington campus

Motorcycle parking is available at the South Kensington campus to staff and postgraduate students who register their motorcycles with Security.

Motorcycle parking regulations

  • Only staff and postgraduate students may park their motorcycle on campus. Contractors or members of the public are not allowed to use Imperial motorcycle bays.
  •  All motorcycles parked on campus must be registered and display an Imperial  permit. Any unregistered bikes on site that do not clearly display a valid parking permit will be issued with a Parking Charge Notice (PCN).
  •  All motorcycles must park in marked motorcycle bays.
  •  Spaces on campus are for the use of daily commuters only and not as long term parking facilities e.g. ( Weekend /overnight/ holidays including Bank Holiday) 
  •  Motorcycle parking will be monitored. A Parking Charge Notice (PCN) will be issued if in breach of the terms and conditions as stated on the signage shown in designated motorcycle bays.

 All Motorcycle Permits must be collected in person from the office shown below and Imperial members must have a valid ID card.

Parking Charge Notices

Parking enforcement is managed by First Parking LLP. These Parking Charge Notices (PCN) are set at £100 or £60 if paid within 14 days. Any enquiries and/or appeals should be sent to First Parking LLP, 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, WC1N 3AX or via their website www.paymyparking.netTo pay a charge you can either call the First Parking LLP payment line on 0200 333 1995 or pay via their website www.paymyparking.netIf the PCN is not paid within 28 days of the issue of the notice First Parking LLP may request registered keeper details from the DVLA for the purposes of recovery of the notice. If not paid First Parking LLP will take action to recover the full amount including any further costs that may be incurred.
