Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Early Years team are led by the Head of Centre, Tracy Halsey, and includes a variety of roles.

The management team ensure that all staff go through a rigorous recruitment process to ensure that they are suitable to work with children. Part of the requirement is that all staff have an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring System) check to ensure their suitability to work with children.

All recruited staff working directly with the children are qualified to a minimum of a level 3 in childcare and undergo a training and induction programme when they begin working with us. In addition to their level 3 childcare qualification many staff have other qualifications such as Degrees, Masters degrees, Qualified Teacher status and Early Years Teacher status to name a few. All eleven children’s rooms are led by a senior member of the team with a wealth of experience and management training.

The Early Years centre prides itself on having its own domestic support team where the standards of cleaning and hygiene are high on the agenda.

The in-house chef and kitchen team work to provide healthy meals and snacks for the children throughout the day using fresh ingredients.

The centre also trains students in childcare and regularly supports trainee doctors, speech and language therapists, and psychologists as well as overseas students wishing to work in the childcare field and experience working in an outstanding setting.
