With over 50 members of staff working at Early Years, the teams works well together to ensure your children get the best possible care and education during their time with us

Reporting to the Director of Residential and Community Services, the Early Years team are led by Tracy Halsey. There are a variety of roles in the team which consists of more than 50 staff from Senior management, in-house Domestic team, Kitchen team, Senior Early Years educators, Early years educators, Administration team, we work together to ensure that your children get the best possible care, experience and education during their time with us.

The Early Years has a rigorous recruitment process to ensure that all staff are suitable to work with children. After a successful practical and face to face interview, pre -employment checks are made such as references, identity and work history. Part of the requirement is that all staff have an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring) check which is updated annually and checked.

All recruited staff working directly with the children are qualified to a minimum of level 3 in childcare and undergo a training and induction programme when they begin working with us. In addition they also undergo safeguarding and Paediatric first aid training along with ongoing training and support.  Many of our Early Years Educators and team members also have further professional qualifications such as Degrees, Masters, Qualified Teacher Status and Early Years Teacher Status to name a few. All rooms are led by a Senior member of the team with a wealth of experience and management training.

The Early Years Education centre has its own trained domestic support team where standards of hygiene and cleanliness are high on the agenda, helping us to keep the environment safe for all.

The in-house chef and kitchen team work to provide healthy balanced meals and snacks for the children throughout the day using fresh ingredients

Training Centre

The centre also trains students in childcare and regularly supports trainee doctors, speech and language therapists, and psychologists as well as overseas students wishing to work in the childcare field and experience working in an outstanding setting.
