AB - Rapid, sensitive and specific detection of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) at the point-of-care is urgently needed, specially related to the emergence of drug-resistant malaria. Here, we report a novel biosensing platform combining complementary metal-oxide semiconductor technology and loop-mediated isothermal amplification for the detection of SNPs related to artemisinin-resistant malaria. The proposed biosensing platform has shown rapid and specific detection of drug-resistant SNPs in less than 20 min, which is ideal for point-of-care diagnosis and treatment guidance.
