Big dataLarge multi-dimensional datasets are arising from every field of vaccine-related research. This cross-cutting theme aims to maximise the value of these by making available cutting-edge computational biology support across the network and encouraging data sharing.

  • Complex data are being collected in every part of vaccine development and delivery. These range from analyses of all the genes and proteins that change during infection or vaccination; to large clinical datasets from patients that we access as part of the Imperial Academic Health Sciences Centre.
  • The multi-disciplinary approach of the Network encourages deep collaboration between clinicians, bench scientists and computational biologists in order to maximise the value of these data and apply them in innovative ways to understand how vaccines may best work.
