Imperial student memberships

Regardless of which campus you are based on, all Imperial students can use any of our sports centres. Students have a choice of two memberships. Student memberships are valid from 1 September to 31 August.

There are two tiers of student membership, both of which then have pay-as-you-go extras you can add on.

  • If you want complete access to the gym and the swimming pool, you can purchase a Student Gym and Swim membership. You can then add classes or other bookings on top.
  • If you only want access to Ethos to attend classes or book the sports hall activities, you can register for a free Student Basic membership.

We then have a range of pay-as-you-go extras, including our schedule of group classes and sports hall bookings. Check out the basic prices, or if you want unlimited monthly access then you can purchase one of our bolt-ons.

Student Memberships

Basic

Our basic membership option is free and grants you access to the Ethos building. With this membership, you can book one of our pay-as-you go classes in the Ethos studio, book a session in the sports hall and purchase one of our monthly bolt-ons.

Gym & Swim

Our gym and swim membership gives you access to any of the Move Imperial gyms across campuses as well as Ethos swimming pool and sauna. With this membership, you can book one of our pay-as-you go classes in the Ethos studio, book a session in the sports hall and purchase one of our monthly bolt-ons.

Cost: £65 per academic year
Who is it for? Anyone who wants to use the Move Imperial gyms and Ethos swimming pool and sauna

 

Pre-booking

Although most of our capacity limits have now been lifted, we're maintaining the requirement to pre-book all activities and classes at Ethos. Make sure you book a session when you want to visit, including for all classes, gym sessions, sports hall bookings, and pool use - you won't be able to enter the building without a booking. 

In order to register and use the centre you must complete the following:

  1. Register details online
  2. Watch building orientation
  3. Pay any required fees for your chosen membership type

You will then be registered and will need your College ID Card to enter the centre and access the facilities you are entitled to use as part of your membership type. 

 

WHITE CITY CAMPUS

Students studying at the White City Campus (Hammersmith Campus) will be able to access a gym-only membership at Westway Sports Centre for a £65 annual fee, which runs from 1 September to 31 August. Students who opt to take the Westway membership will be unable to use the Ethos Gym and SW7, however, you will have free access to the swimming pool and other Ethos facilities at the student rate. Booking and Cancellation Information

Due to an an ongoing issue with users booking sessions and then not attending without cancelling beforehand, we have introduced a non-cancellation penalty. Any members who miss multiple sessions within a 7-day period will have their booking ability suspended for the following 7 days. Any pre-booked sessions for this timeframe will be cancelled and fully refunded.

Please note: all sessions can be cancelled up until they are due to start via MyLeisureHub. Pay-as-you go members can cancel via ASK (Imperial Staff and Students) or by emailing move@imperial.ac.uk (Other Members).
