Accessing the Department

Your ID card will give you access to the Department and laboratories (where appropriate). 

There are a number of entrances to which you will have access via your ID card between the hours of 8am and 6pm but please note that after 6pm you have to use the Skempton Building main entrance on Imperial College Road and the City & Guilds main entrance on Exhibition Road.  College Security is very strict about this and comes down heavily on students (and staff) who do not comply. 

In the interests of safety and security, please:

• Do not prop doors open
• Do not bring guests/friends into access-restricted areas. These areas are only for designated students and your access rights will be removed from said areas if reported.
• Do not leave any personal belongings unattended anywhere.  Loss or theft of personal or College property in the Department must be reported to Security and ae.office@imperial.ac.uk as soon as possible.
