Currently, the British Olympic Canoe Slalom athletes must complete the entire course in order to practice the particularly difficult sections. The aim of this project was to develop a portable Canoe Slide for the Olympic white-water team, which would allow entry into the water course from the bank despite its steep angles and rough concrete surface. A key element of the design is the see-saw mechanism, which allows the slide to return to its original horizontal position so that it does not obstruct other athletes. Also, the water container provides a weight to counteract the moment when it fills with water and becomes light and portable when it is emptied. In addition, the size of the product is minimised during disassembly so the team can transport it to any of the Olympic courses in the world.
