Support the fight against COVID-19

The work of our academics in the fight against COVID-19 has been overwhelmingly supported by generous donations from alumni, staff, and friends of the College. The Imperial College COVID-19 Response Fund was established to provide financial backing to a variety of key projects being led by Imperial researchers to aid the global response to the pandemic. To date, donations to the fund have totalled more than £610,000 from over 900 donors, and 39 projects have received vital support.

The £1m Community Jameel Imperial College COVID-19 Excellence Fund was co-created by Community Jameel and Imperial to fund awards between £50,000 and £200,000 for novel and essential high impact research projects that need additional funding to be scaled up. This fund has played a vital role in shaping Imperial's ongoing response to the pandemic.

The Jameel Fund for Infectious Disease Research and Innovation was announced in April 2021. Supported by donations from Community Jameel, the fund will provide grants of up to $65,000 for short-term, high-impact projects that advance our ability to understand, prevent, diagnose, and treat coronaviruses and other infectious diseases.
