Please contact your Admissions team if you are concerned that you have not yet received your CAS number.
Continuing students wishing to apply for a Certificate of Acceptance for Study (CAS) should contact the International Student Support Team directly.

Letter to open a bank account
This letter is used by students when opening a new bank account. Imperial can only provide students with one bank letter at a time so it is important that you are happy with your choice of bank before requesting this letter.
To request a letter to open a bank account please ensure that:
- The bank requires a letter for you to open an account
- Your permanent home and term-time addresses are correct on Student e-Service
- You include with your request the name and branch address of the bank where you will be opening the account
Santander bank, located on the South Kensington campus, have informed College that a student wishing to open an account with the bank will only need to present a valid passport or driving licence along with your student ID card to enable you to open an account.
Whilst this may allow you to open a bank account more quickly, the College recommends that you ensure you have looked at each bank’s offerings in depth before choosing a bank account.
Council Tax exemption certificates
Current full time students are able to request a council tax exemption certificate. This certificate is for students not living in halls of residence, Imperial or other, who need to provide their local Council with proof of their student status in order to be exempt from paying Council Tax.
To assess whether you are exempt from council tax, please review the Government guidance.
