Kickstart is a government work experience programme for young people who are at risk of long-term unemployment. If you are aged 16 to 24 and are currently claiming Universal Credit, you may be eligible to apply for a Kickstart role.
At Imperial College London, we have three exciting Kickstart placements, all based within our Centre for Climate Change Innovation (or CCCI). The CCCI aims to increase the pipeline of innovative new clean technology businesses in London – newly founded companies that are developing practical solutions to issues like cleaning up the air, food that doesn’t cost the earth and transport without the bad emissions.
Our placements will start in February 2022 and will last for 6 months. You will join Imperial as a member of staff and will work for 25 hours a week, earning a competitive salary and benefits, and gaining real-life work experience and transferable skills to help you in your career. Alongside your day job, you will benefit from a programme of employability support delivered by a specialist training provider. Find out more about our Kickstart opportunities below.
