Academic Promotion Champions at NHLI

At the NHLI, we believe in fostering an inclusive and diverse academic community that celebrates the unique talents, perspectives, and backgrounds of all its members. We recognize the vital importance of equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in the process of academic promotion.

In NHLI we have established an informal network of 'Promotion Champions' who are academic staff that have recently successfully navigated the academic promotion process. This network serves as a platform to provide support for individuals seeking academic promotion. Our Academic Promotion Champions can offer practical advice and support based on their own experience and lessons learned. By connecting with a Promotion Champion, you can gain invaluable perspectives and insights into the promotion process, supporting your chances of achieving your career goals.

Please note that this is informal help and peer support from colleagues who have recently experienced the promotions process. It is not meant to replace the formal guidance provided by College and the support and advice from your line manager and the promotion panels at every level.
