Vilar group members won two prizes at the Chemistry Department's Postgraduate Symposium 2019.
At the annual symposium, all 2nd year PhD students present posters on their research, whilst all 3rd year PhD students give a presentation on their work.
Tiffany Chan was the joint-winner of the presentation prize in the Chemical Biology & Healthcare section for her presentation titled "Targeted Delivery of Metal Complexes Across the Blood-brain Barrier using Focused Ultrasound for the Treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease".
Martin Priessner presented his poster, titled "Development of Fluorescent Probes for Cellular Imaging of Cu(I) and Colocalisation Studies with Alpha-synuclein" and was awarded Runner-Up for the poster prize in the Chemical Biology & Healthcare section.
