Imperial College London staff and students and NHS staff and students in Trusts affiliated with Imperial with active library membership have 24/7 swipe card access, including bank holidays and College closures, providing access to the library PCs, quiet study area and book collection

Books can be returned 24/7 via the red book returns box at the library entrance and will be removed from your record when the library is next staffed

Our book collection covers general medicine (including medical textbooks), nursing and professions allied to medicine and also specialises in:

  • AIDS
  • emergency medicine
  • evidence-based medicine
  • mental health
  • midwifery
  • obstetrics and gynaecology
  • ophthalmology
  • paediatrics
  • plastic surgery

Our journal collection is entirely electronic.

Training room 2 (maximum 20 people)

Includes:

  • 6 tables
  • 20 chairs
  • 1 flip chart stand
  • 2 ceiling-mounted projectors connected to Imperial College London and Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust networked PCs
  • 7 Imperial College London networked PCs
  • Imperial College London network sockets

Combine with room 3 to hold up to 40 people.

Training room 3 (maximum 20 people)

Includes: 

  • 6 tables

Getting here

Use the revolving doors at the main entrance to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

  • Via the escalator: walk to your right, past the hospital's main reception, until you reach a fish tank. Turn right for the escalator down to the lower ground floor. At the bottom of the escalator, turn right, then right again and go through the double doors. Head straight down the corridor - the library is on the left with a red book returns box outside.
  • Via the lifts: walk past the hospital's main reception and head for Lift bank B. Take the lift to the lower ground floor. On exiting the lift turn right and go through the double doors. Head left down the main corridor and then turn left and head for the double doors. Go through these doors and head straight down the corridor - the library is on the left with a red book returns box outside.
