Who can attend the Alumni Weekend? Can I bring guests and children?

All Imperial alumni are invited to attend the Alumni Weekend. You can bring up to four guests, and family and friends of all ages are welcome. Registration is £5 for alumni and guests, and free for guests under 16. Registration is also free for alumni from the Classes of 2016 and 2017.

How can I book?

Some elements of the Alumni Weekend programme are bookable in advance. We will email all registered alumni in March and April when tickets are released for additional Alumni Weekend events (such as tours, workshops and talks). Some of these events run at a small additional cost to your main Alumni Weekend pass.

Once I have booked for the Alumni Weekend, will I receive any more information?

We will let you know about updates and additions to the programme, and we will send out final confirmation details to you by email prior to the event. You can make sure we have your preferred email address by checking and updating your contact details online. We will email all registered alumni in March and April when tickets are released for additional Alumni Weekend events (such as tours, workshops and talks).

Can I book additional guest tickets after I have made my booking?

Yes, please give us a call on +44 (0)20 7594 6138 and we can take additional bookings and payment over the phone. Unfortunately, the online booking system is unable to accept any amendments/additions to your booking.

I would like to meet up with old friends at the Weekend. Are you able to help me do this?

If you are no longer in touch with your friends or classmates, we are happy to pass on a message by email, so drop us a line at alumni.weekend@imperial.ac.uk

If you graduated in a year ending in 2 or 7, why not encourage any friends or classmates you are in contact with to join you at one of our special milestone events? We can also help you to organise your own milestone reunion, or put you in touch with your classmates if a reunion is already in progress.

We encourage you to try and communicate with friends and classmates in advance of the Alumni Weekend to arrange a day, time and location to meet. You may find the Alumni Zone is a convenient and comfortable location to meet up. 

Will there be refreshments/lunch available at the Alumni Weekend?

As part of your registration package, we will be providing complimentary unlimited tea, coffee and cookies in the Alumni Zone all weekend. A variety of other catering options are available throughout the Festival and you are welcome to bring food and drink into the Alumni Zone.

How do I get to the South Kensington Campus?

The South Kensington Campus is easily accessible by underground, bus and train. Further information, and a map of the campus, can be found on the College travel pages

Is accommodation available on campus before or after the Weekend?

As the Alumni Weekend is being held during term time, there is a very limited provision for on-site accommodation. However, we enjoy excellent partnerships with local hotels who have been carefully selected with specially negotiated rates to ensure you the best value.

Is parking available at the College?

There are no parking spaces available on campus during the Imperial Festival and Alumni Weekend, however there are a number of NCP car parks within the vicinity of the College

What is the dress code for the Alumni Weekend?

The Alumni Weekend is a casual event. However a lot of the Festival activities take place outside or between different parts of the campus so we suggest that you wear clothing appropriate for both wet and sunny weather.

What about photography?

You are welcome to bring a camera to take your own photographs. Please note that photography and video recording will take place in the Alumni Zone and throughout the Imperial Festival and photos will be available to view on social media and on Imperial's website after the event. Imperial College London reserves the right to use any photography from the event in online and off-line publications, but guarantees that photographs will not be made available for the use of any third parties external to the College.

If you do not wish to be photographed, please alert the team on the registration desk when you arrive in the Alumni Zone and you will be provided with a 'no photography' badge.

What is the cancellation policy?

For any cancellations made up to Friday 28 April, a full refund will be issued. Any cancellations made after Friday 28 April cannot be refunded. Please note that all refunds will be processed after the Alumni Weekend has taken place.
