The Faculty of Natural Sciences is dedicated to providing the highest quality teaching and learning environment at the heart of Imperial College London, and to fostering excellence in a diverse and supportive community.
The Faculty’s educational mission is led by the vice-Dean (Education) Professor Emma McCoy and the Faculty Education Manager, Mrs Rebecca Middleton.
The Faculty delivers teaching activities across the core scientific disciplines of Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Life Sciences, and also hosts the Centre for Environmental Policy and the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment.
The Faculty’s academic staff are committed to providing an environment where teaching and learning is at the core of what we do. The FoNS Active Learning Summer Challenge 2018
The College's new Teaching and Learning Strategy encourages the use of more active learning techniques in our teaching. The 2018 challenge aimed to highlight examples of active learning techniques that are already being used in teaching across the Faculty.
