Emerging Structural Technologies
Welcome to the Emerging Structural Technologies Research Group. We lead the Earthquake Engineering and Structural Dynamics research at Imperial College London

With a Research Collaborations grant under the International Science Partnerships Fund we are creating the first AI-powered tool for the integrated design of seismically resilient, digitally manufactured hybrid timber-GFRC housing structures in Turkey.

We are joining forces with the Universidad del Bío-Bío to develop a modular building system combining cross-laminated timber (CLT) walls and hollow concrete panels to serve the local mid-rise marked with improved serviceability, fire and seismic performance.
