New 'Postes Rouges' positions available for Lab members

The CNRS-Imperial 'Abraham de Moivre' International Research Laboratory (IRL) is delighted to announce the launch of the Postes Rouges 2027 scheme.

Postes Rouges is an annual competition that allows members of the IRL and ex-UMI members to take up short-term positions at other CNRS Labs. This is a scheme that operates 'outwards' and would support a sabbatical or visit to France.

Invitations are open to colleagues at all levels of seniority (professors and associate professors, university professors and associate professors), on the basis of a scientific project to be undertaken in joint partnership with a member of the host laboratory.

This prestigious short‑term visiting programme is aimed at bolstering Franco‑UK collaborations in mathematics. A clear testament to our commitment to empowering staff mobility, fostering cross‑national partnerships, and delivering concrete investment in our academic community.

How to apply

Applications should include:

• Curriculum Vitae (with a list of publications in the last 5 years)
• A proposed scientific project to be undertaken during the proposed visit
• The name(s) of the local researcher(s) should be mentioned
• Provisional dates for a visit between 1 February and 30 November 2027
• An invitation letter (or copy of an email) from the director of the host laboratory
• Applications should be sent to umi-staff@imperial.ac.uk.
