SONICOM: A Project Summary

After 4.5 years, the SONICOM project officially came to a close at the end of June 2026.

The journey brought together 10 partners from across 6 European countries, who worked collaboratively to revolutionise the way we interact socially within AR/VR environments. In this time, they have successfully published over 80 publications, created and improved countless tools, and engaged thousands of people with their work.

Thank you to everyone who came along for the ride; we’re looking forward to seeing what might come next…
