Perkin’s Green
Perkin’s Green is the first new public garden to open at the campus – a space for Imperial staff, students and local workers to enjoy the outdoors. The park’s design is inspired by the science and innovation happening across the campus.
White City Place
Just across Wood Lane, White City Place is a plaza with a large lawn, amphitheatre and seating areas. Surrounded by eateries, including pop-up food vans, it’s a great spot to take a break, grab lunch or a coffee. Look out for the year-round events.
Wormwood Scrubs
Just a 10-minute walk, Wormwood Scrubs, is one of London’s largest open spaces. Its rich birdlife, woodland, meadows and nature trails make it a haven for walkers, runners and cyclists. Also here are pitches, a running track and a pony centre.
Little Wormwood Scrubs
Little Wormwood Scrubs, a 12-minute walk from campus, is a smaller park with a mix of wildflower meadows, woodland and open grassland. The park also features an adventure playground for families and an outdoor gym.
Kensington Memorial Park
This well-maintained park with its lush lawns and tree-lined paths is a 15-minute walk from campus. The park features sports pitches, tennis courts, a children’s playground, and a seasonal water play area, making it a family favourite.
Hammersmith Park
A 10-minute walk, this tranquil park is also known as the BBC Park is home to a Japanese garden designed for the Japan-British Exhibition in 1910, tennis courts, football pitches and a gated children’s play area.
