Like pubs? Love Science? Then you’ll love the Pint of Science festival, running on the evenings of the 15th-17th May at pubs across London, the UK and the world.
This year Imperial College is running a record of 21 events at 7 pubs across West London, with leading scientists giving talks aimed at the general public on topic areas ranging from quantum mechanics to volcanoes. There will also be science-themed activities and prizes to be won. What will the cities of tomorrow look like? Can psychedelic drugs treat depression? How would you survive a zombie apocalypse? The aim of the festival is to engage more people in Science in a familiar setting – their local! We’d therefore really encourage those interested to bring along their non-scientist friends and family so they can get excited through accessible talks from excellent speakers.
