MUSE: A new way of modelling the world’s energy system

Dr Daniel Crow will give an overview of MUSE – a new global energy systems simulation being developed at the Sustainable Gas Institute. MUSE is a partial equilibrium model of all the main players (supply-side & demand-side) and commodities (such as renewables, nuclear etc.) in the energy balance, although its main focus is on the role of gas in a low-carbon world. As such he will provide a more detailed account of modelling gas supply within MUSE.

Biography

Daniel Crow works on energy systems modelling at the Sustainable Gas Institute. He has an undergraduate degree in Physics and a PhD in Mathematics.
