Abstract
The estimated average cost of a marketed drug is ca. $1.8 billion and 14 years of intense research. This together with large attrition rates poses the greatest challenge for the pharmaceutical industry. Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) is an emerging discipline that can change this paradigm. In this seminar you’ll hear how QSP links to Systems Biology and to Clinical Pharmacology modelling and how it fits within the pharmaceutical pipeline. To illustrate this, the presentation will include 3 examples of the impact of QSP on Pharma.
