What is  Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a mind-body based approach that helps people change the way they think and feel about their experiences and everyday life. Mindfulness training helps you become more aware of your thoughts and feelings so that instead of being overwhelmed by them, you will be able to manage them.

Mindfulness meditation yields a surprising number of benefits. These include stress reduction, improved attention, and enhanced memory. It can even increase creativity and a sense of compassion. But how can something as simple as focusing on something as simple as your breath produce such dramatic results? Find out more about mindfulness during Mental Health Awareness Week by coming to see Chris Allan from Occupational Health.

Occupational Health also run a regular group mediation session every Thursday lunchtime between 13:15-13:45 in SALC, South Kensington Campus. For more details, please see the Occupational Health website
