I’ll discuss in which sense general metric measure spaces possess a natural first order differential structure and how on spaces with Ricci curvature bounded from below a second order one arises. Objects which will turn out to be well defined in this latter context include: Hessian, covariant/exterior differentiation, connection/Hodge Laplacian and Ricci curvature.
