Abstract
Kirsty Nathoo, CFO and Partner of YCombinator, will be coming in from Mountain View, California to speak as part of Imperial Entrepreneurs’ Flagship Speaker Series this year. YCombinator was named by Forbes Magazine as the top startup incubator in the world with the market cap of its companies totalling over $30billion as of 2014, counting such companies as Airbnb, Dropbox, Stripe, Reddit and Twitch among its roster.
The format of the evening’s event will be 30 mins presentation followed by 30 mins Q&A from the audience.
Biography
Profiled by Techcrunch as the ‘secret financial and operational weapon behind YC’, Kirsty has been working with the founders of YC portfolio companies since early 2010. As well as running the operations and finances at YC, she advises the companies on their operational and financial matters as well as their product strategy.
She was previously an audit manager at PwC based in Cambridge where she audited tech and biotech companies ranging from startups to public companies. Before this, she graduated with an MEng in Information Engineering from Cambridge University.
