This pair of late afternoon/evening Practical Enterprise Skills Workshops complement the EE projects formal course “Why Didn’t I Think of That? Idea Generation and Evaluation in Research and Beyond” and gives you an opportunity to practise using the tools and techniques of problem clarification and idea generation in an informal setting.
During the workshops you will:
- Team up with peers from across the college to form interdisciplinary groups
- Use the six shortlisted Longitude Prize 2014 challenges as example issues to address
- Implement a variety of divergent thinking techniques to delve down into the challenges and generate truly new ideas
- Perform a range of convergent thinking activites to hone and refine your ideas
- Have fun and drink tea!
