At this time of unprecedented challenge from the Ebola virus in West Africa and beyond, this symposium brings together experience and expertise in public health, epidemiology, virology and  clinical management to explore issues relevant to the control of the current outbreak

The following areas will be covered :

  • Dynamics of the current epidemic
  • Virological aspects of pathogenesis, prevention and treatment
  • Clinical aspects of prevention and management
  • Setting up and running an Ebola hospital (speaker from MSF)
  • Modelling of interventions and the way forward
