The Department of Mathematics is seeking alumni volunteers to provide inspiration, ideas and guidance to current students at their annual Careers Speed Dating Event. The evening offers Imperial students an invaluable opportunity to gain a better understanding of the variety of career paths open to them, and students welcome the chance to hear how alumni transition from Imperial into successful careers.

“The variety of employers got me considering career paths I had not previously thought about and I liked the ability to speak to them in a relatively informal setting” – student at 2013 event

You are encouraged to talk generally about your current role and are welcome to promote oppourtunities within your organisation – you can also bring along promotional material. The first part of the evening will be a structured session based on the speed-dating format with small groups of students, followed by open networking.
