In March 2012, the first ever TEDxImperialCollege event showcased South Kensington’s role as London’s cultural heartland. World-class universities sit alongside some of the nation’s finest museums as a lasting legacy to the collaborative spirit of the Great Exhibition of 1851. A century and a half later, that spirit went back on display.
Two years later, we are pleased to announce the return of TEDxImperialCollege. This year we aim instead to look ahead and bring to everyone ideas that shape our future and innovations that define what tomorrow will be. Our theme this year: One Step Ahead.
TEDxImperialCollege will be more than just a platform to learn – it is where you will be amazed and inspired by ideas that revolutionise human experience.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
