Abstract
This introductory talk is aimed at people with an interest in the role that private equity investors have in the wider economy. Specifically, we hope that those with an interest in careers in the Private Equity or the Venture Capital space would be interested to participate in this event.
Debunking a number of myths in the industry, Mike will introduce key concepts, discuss the critics opinion and present new research on the real effect of the financial crisis against predictions of 2008.
As the first event for 2014, we hope that this talk will present an exploratory insight into PE and VC, with up to date research on recent trends. Over the following months we aim to bring you an exciting programme of events and will shortly be releasing details of our second event to be held on the 12th February.
