On 26th September 2013, Dr Robert Forsyth, admissions tutor for the Physics Department at Imperial College London, attended a Higher Education Evening at Skinners’ School, Tunbridge Wells.
Over 800 people attended the event. Pupils from Skinners’ School, and nearby schools, attended the Higher Education Evening to find out more about applying to University.
Each university attending the event had a display stand and visitors were free to wander round and speak to any of the universities they were interested in. Students valued the opportunity to ask Dr Forsyth about the various degree programmes offered at Imperial College London and the necessary entry requirements. GCSE students were keen to know what A Levels they would need to choose in order to pursue their intended university subjects.
Dr Forsyth said that the event was “A well timed Higher Education event to engage students at the beginning of their journey towards choosing where to study”.
