Dr Bill Proud and Dr David Chapman from the Institute of Shock Physics at Imperial College London, gave three talks at the National Science Museum as part of the ‘Lates’ events.
The Science Museum’s Lates are evening events at the Science Museum that take place on the last Wednesday of the month. Lates contain activities including: science shows, a pub quiz, Punk Science comedy shows and a silent disco. Lates regularly attract over 3000 adults.
Dr Proud and Dr Chapman’s talk centred on the origins and uses of high-speed photography featuring personalities, crimes and patent—challenging early pioneers as well as current developments in the field.
