On 8th & 9th June, Dr Simon Foster from Imperial College London ran a space camp at Tolmers Scout camp in Hertfordshire.
Dr Simon Foster acts as the Outreach Officer in the Physics Department at Imperial College London. He is a qualified rocket scientist and his research focuses on Solar-terrestrial Physics, specialising in solar variability and climate change.
Simon was invited back to his old cub scout group, to help organise and run the Hammond Street Cub Scout space camp.
Simon ran a number of different activities for the cubs, such as gunpowder making, learning about the stars and planets and designing and building water rockets to launch objects into the sky.
