A short history of the science of Global Warming will be presented including the potential impact on the rapid propagation of diseases.
In addition the invention of a biocatalytic process to manufacture the medicine pregabalin will be described. This process will eliminate more than 3 million tonnes of CO2 emissions.

The lecturer
Peter Dunn completed his PhD at Imperial College working for Professor Charles Rees, this was followed by Post Doctoral Research in Switzerland and California. He is the Global leader of the Pfizer Green Chemistry program. Before that he was a process chemist who invented processes to manufacture several human and veterinary medicines including Viagra, Enablex and Revatio.
