ISNTD Water provides the platform to strengthen the ties within water-sanitation-hygiene and with health systems and agencies worldwide to reduce the prevalence and impact of NTDs.
We are delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate in this field with some of the most important organisations in the control, mapping and treatment of neglected tropical diseases on the occasion of the ‘Annual Meeting of the Non-Governmental Development Organisations (NGDO) NTD network’.
ISNTD Water will include Four Disease Group Meetings to address Trachoma, Lymphatic Filariasis, Soil-transmitted Helminths and Schistosomiasis.
There will be sessions on the following:
- Review of the top 5 high burden countries (India, Indonesia, Nigeria, DRC and Ethiopia) along with NTD Master Plan summaries for each country, what is needed to scale up and a review of who is doing what where.
- Follow up on the roundtable WaSH discussions held in 2012
- NTDs and impact on Disability and Morbidity – the role of NGDOs in NTD leading into a data set that needs to be collected.
- Feedback/Follow up on the London Declaration scorecard etc – where we are with scale up
