On 14th March 2012, Dr Forsyth, admissions tutor for the Physics Department at Imperial College London, presented to a group of students at Merchant Taylors School’s Higher Education Afternoon. Merchant Taylors School for boys is located in Moor Park, Northwood, North London. As well as students from Merchant Taylors School, Students from nearby schools also attended.

Dr Forsyth is a reader in Space Physics in the Physics Department at Imperial College London and he also acts as the admissions tutor for the department. His presentation entitled “Applying to study physics at university” focused on the practicalities of applying to university, application tips and information about where a physics degree can lead. As well as providing admissions information to the students, Dr Forsyth also answered numerous application queries.
