On June 10th 2010, Professor Jerome Gauntlett, Head of the Theoretical Physics Group at Imperial College London, visited All Saints School to present to pupils about Newton’s Three Laws.
Jerome Gauntlett is a Professor of Theoretical Physics in the Physics Department at Imperial College London. His research interests are focussed on string theory, quantum field theory and black holes. Professor Gauntlett has investigated whether string theory techniques can be used to study exotic states of matter that arise in condensed matter physics.
Professor Gauntlett spoke to 30 students from All Saint’s School about Newton’s Three Laws and demonstrated the subject area with experiments. The pupils from All Saints School put plenty of questions about the subject area to Professor Gauntlett which led to lively debate!
