In this era of post financial crisis, Citi Transaction Services (CTS) is at the frontier of innovation in financial services and is an innovation engine for Citi focused on delivering one of its core principles of ingenuity to clients.
In this session, Naveed Sultan will discuss intermediating ever increasing and accelerating global financial flows to managing the financial crisis and growth in the emerging markets. In the discussion, he will share his views on changing client needs, digital solutions and how to build an innovation platform within a large global company. In addition, he will share views on transforming business architecture, executing business model innovation, opportunities being created in the digital space and learnings around successfully commercializing innovation. Naveed will also share his personal insights on the leadership model required to support this business transformation, including creating an environment of distributed leadership where each person in the organization is an agent of change.

Naveed Sultan is CEO of Global Treasury and Trade Solutions for Citi Transaction Services. With over 25 years of institutional banking experience, Mr Sultan has been at Citi for over 18 years and is currently responsible for Treasury and Trade Solutions globally. With reported revenues of $7.7bn in 2011, Treasury and Trade Solutions is one of the largest global businesses within Citi Transaction Services, with a client base that includes 94% of the top 500 companies in the world in over 120 countries, encompassing public sector clients, corporates and financial institutions.
Mr Sultan has wide-ranging experience covering Corporate Banking, Corporate Finance, Transaction Banking, Operations & Technology and is a regular speaker and author on such topics. He has also taught Business to Masters graduates at the University of Punjab in Pakistan. He is also engaged with Oxford University and Imperial College in an advisory and lecturing capacity.
Mr Sultan holds an M.S. in Management from M.I.T’s Sloan School of Management as well as an M.B.A. from the Institute of Business Administration, Lahore.
