Abstract: I will discuss how to get the GW invariants of a hypersurface Hsubset P (eg the quintic in P^3) from the moduli space of stable maps to the ambient space P. This talk is independent of Ed’s. Really it will be a talk about some deformation theory. Don’t let that put you off though, I will try to explain everything.
